According to Agubuzu, ‘I write to express the appreciation of the Royal Fathers of Enugu State for your gracious approval.

‘The establishment of the two institutions will go down in history as an enduring legacy of your administration in Enugu State.

‘It also does underscore your belief in science and technology as a key to the development of Nigeria.

‘We commend you, Mr. President.

‘We note that what you have done for our state, in this regard, is an encouragement to our governor, His Excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, in his determined drive to ensure even development of all parts of Enugu State.

‘This, His Excellency, is doing in a peaceful atmosphere of `politics without rancor’ among our indigenes of different political persuasions,’ the chairman said.
