Colonel Isaac Amponsah, the aide-de-camp to the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, collapsed during a live broadcast at the Parliament.
This is according to a trending video post on X on Friday.
The ADC slumped while the outgoing president was giving his final State of the Nation address at the parliament.

The Eastern Updates reports that the ADC was helped out of the premises where the incident occurred by security operatives and medical personnel.
Details on why the ADC collapsed are still sketchy as of filing the report.
The President’s bodyguard dropped to the floor in the middle of the address.
He was aided immediately by the Marshall of Parliament, the aide-de-camp of the Vice President and medical personnel on standby to get back on his feet.
They then helped him to walk out of the chamber for further medical assistance.
The term “aide-de-camp” comes from the French phrase camp assistant.
President Akufo-Addo’s aide-de-camp is a Brigadier General in the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
The incident briefly interrupted the President’s address but he resumed his presentation after a few minutes, after the ADC had been aided to walk out of the chamber.
The aide-de-camp of the Vice President, a police officer immediately took over to stand behind the president.
The Eastern Updates reports that in December 2024, President John Mahama was announced as the winner of Ghana’s presidential election by the electoral commission.
