The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has expressed delight at the high level of synergy among members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) amid the numerous operational successes being recorded against terrorists, insurgents, kidnappers and other criminal elements in the country.
During a briefing at the Strategic Operations Centre, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, on Tuesday, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, Chief of Defence Staff, expressed his pleasure at the strong teamwork among Nigeria’s Armed Forces.
He noted that this cooperation has been key to their recent successes against terrorist groups and other criminals.
General Musa further commended the AFN for their renewed commitment to tackling oil theft in the Niger Delta. He observed that this initiative is in sync with President Tinubu’s goal of increasing oil production in the region.
Speaking further, General Musa noted that, “Though our current security challenges are daunting, they are, however, surmountable as long as we continue to work together as a team.
General Musa called for sustained collaboration and cooperation among the Services and with other security agencies, emphasizing that unity of effort is crucial to success. He also stressed the importance of discipline among personnel, saying that all hands must be on deck and fully committed to achieving their objectives.

The Chief of Defence Staff acknowledged the NAF personnel’s outstanding commitment and diligence, reassuring them of his steadfast commitment to providing the necessary support and resources to enable the NAF and other Services to successfully tackle the nation’s security challenges.
The CDS acknowledged Air Marshal Abubakar’s effective leadership, urging the NAF to maintain its tempo and continue working synergistically with other services to ensure the nation’s security and stability.
According to him, “We must continue to enhance our synergy and intensify air operations to combat terrorists and other criminal elements, curbing their operational freedom and fostering favourable conditions for successful ground operations by our troops.”
The Chief of Defence Staff was attended by a retinue of senior officers, led by Major General Emeka Onumajuru, Chief of Defence Operations, and other key staff personnel.
