The Forum of Nigeria Professionals in Politics (FNPP) has lauded Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, for his commendable efforts in promoting harmony and cooperation between the Southeast and Southwest regions, a development that holds great promise for national cohesion.
Okey Ezenwa, National Coordinator of the Forum of Nigeria Professionals in Politics (FNPP), has commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for his consultative approach, which has yielded a stronger alliance and increased cooperation between the Southeast and Southwest regions.
The Forum of Nigeria Professionals in Politics (FNPP) believes that the Southeast’s decision to stay out of the protests is a testament to Governor Uzodimma’s success in rebuilding the “handshake across the Niger” initiative, which has promoted greater understanding and cooperation among the regions.
The FNPP believes that Governor Uzodimma’s efforts have been instrumental in educating the Southeast about the Tinubu administration’s commitment to Nigeria’s well-being, resulting in the region’s support for giving the President time to address the country’s challenges and implement positive change.

According to the FNPP, it is hoped that these efforts would be consolidated and reciprocated, leading to a peaceful and harmonious relationship between the regions, built on mutual respect and recognition.
Ezenwa said: “Our forum commends Governor Uzodimma for using his position as APC coordinator in Southeast to entrench social tranquility in the zone, and to ensure the region remains peaceful, safe, stable and economically active.
“We also applaud his efforts in promoting and strengthening understanding and cooperation between Southeast and the Southwest”, he said.
The FNPP appealed to Governor Uzodimma to persist in his endeavors to reintegrate the Southeast into national politics, guaranteeing the region’s safety, peace, and stability, stimulating economic growth, and fostering collaborative relationships with other regions.
