In a move poised to revolutionize the state’s leadership dynamics, Governor Dr. Alex Otti of Abia State issued a resolute warning: the days of accepting mediocrity in leadership are numbered.
Otti’s declaration marked a watershed moment, heralding a new era where only the most outstanding and innovative leaders will be entrusted to shape the state’s future.

Otti posited that a society without visionary leadership is condemned to stagnation, asserting that quality leadership is the key driver of growth and development.
Otti recommended that the exemplary process of selecting the Eze Arọ should be emulated by other communities in the state, praising the Arọ people for making an informed decision in choosing HRM Oji, whom he believed was the best candidate for the revered throne.
During his maiden speech, Abia’s esteemed traditional ruler, HRM Oji, vowed to prioritize the needs of his people as a servant leader, and made a passionate plea to President Tinubu to release Nnamdi Kanu, the embattled leader of IPOB, who has been detained by the DSS, from custody.
