Anambra State security personnel have made a grim find, arresting a herbalist named Ezekiel after discovering around 11 human bones in his possession, sparking a probe into the circumstances surrounding the remains and potential criminal activity.

The arrest of Ezekiel, a herbalist from Ezza, Ebonyi State, was carried out by security operatives in Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra State, over the weekend, marking a significant breakthrough in the fight against criminal activity.

The Eastern Updates has learned that the arrest of Ezekiel was made possible by whistleblowers who came forward with information about suspicious activities at his residence, culminating in a raid by security forces that yielded a shocking discovery of human bones, captured in a trending video on social media.

Under questioning, Ezekiel admitted that the bones were human but alleged that they were given to him by a relative from a conflict-ridden region in Ebonyi State, where communal clashes have been prevalent.

During questioning, Ezekiel admitted to crafting “high-quality charms” using human bones for his clients, exposing a chilling trade. A security operative urged the community to remain vigilant when selecting tenants and monitoring home activities to prevent similar incidents.

SP Ikenga Tochukwu, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident, stating that Ezekiel was apprehended by a joint team of vigilantes and police operatives from the Neni Division during a routine patrol.
