Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Nkerefi Wards 1 and 2 in Enugu State’s Nkanu East Local Government Area have reaffirmed their allegiance to Governor Peter Mbah‘s administration. The supporters expressed their dedication to backing Mbah’s initiatives aimed at revitalizing the state.
Concurrent with this show of support, Dr. Gabriel Ajah, the former Secretary to the State Government, along with other prominent party figures, expressed their confidence in the governor’s ability to elevate the populace’s quality of life.
These sentiments were conveyed during a well-attended PDP Ward meeting in Nkerefi over the weekend, which saw the participation of hundreds of loyal party members.
The attendees also commended the governor for his outstanding achievements in various sectors, including infrastructure development, educational advancements, job creation, enhanced security measures, and the overall economic upliftment of the populace.
Addressing attendees in Imeoha-Nkerefi, Mrs. Praise Anyim, an ex-councillor of the ward, praised the governor’s administration. She noted that his empowerment initiatives have successfully integrated women into the governmental framework, promoting a feeling of inclusivity.
The empowerment, she said, was dedicated to helping women, especially rural dwellers, to escape the entrapment of poverty.
She noted that key appointments in the administration were given to women as a way of encouraging gender equality and socio-economic empowerment in the state.

Speaking, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Research and Publication, Barr. Josh Ejeh, lauded the governor for ensuring that Nkerefi was carried along in the administration’s development projects.
He stressed that, aside appointments of Nkerefi people into the government, the governor had also ensured that the people, made up of four autonomous communities and two electoral wards, benefit from the landmark projects going on across the state.
According to him, Mbah administration had brought two smart schools to the people and a pair of modern Type-2 Primary Healthcare hospitals, which were still under construction.
Ejeh said that the Smart School at the ward 2 was over 70 per cent completion, while the Type-2 Primary Healthcare Centre at ward 1was also on the verge of completion.
While enjoining the people to remain committed to the policies of the administration, he observed that security of lives and property had dramatically improved across the state, enabling the people to go back to their farmlands without molestation.
“With the improved security architecture in the state, we can always go about our normal businesses. He was able to eliminate every subversive threat through his strategic actions.
