The association passed the vote of confidence via a communique signed and issued to Journalists by its executive President, Bishop Augustine Nwodika shortly after their convocation in Awka, on Saturday.

According to Bishop Nwodika in the communique, “the association would like to have a much more cordial relationship with the present administration in the state.”

While giving all gratitude to God for the massive success of this year’s 2024 convocation, the Bishops enjoined the body of Christ, especially the Pentecostals (who are about 60% of the Anambra population) to eschew bitterness, rancour and division but work towards the advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and live as a shining light in this dark world.

They encouraged the populace to be law-abiding and contribute in no small measure, to the progress of the society.

They also pleaded with parents especially fathers to be active in church activities and make time for their children at home. This they stressed, will help to stop the menace of idol worship and occultism among youths in the society.

While commending Soludo for the projects and giant strides of his administration, especially on solid road constructions, improved primary health care, revamping of the education sector, and reduction of insecurity in the state, among others, the association appeals to the governor to do more against cultism, especially among the youths in the state.
