A fresh travel advisory has been issued by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to Anambra and Imo State indigenes coming home for Christmas, citing insecurity.
The group said it has uncovered a plot to orchestrate insecurity in the zone by criminals, but assured that it will also deploy operatives from its armed wing, Eastern Security Network (ESN) to ensure the protection of returnees.
‘Biafrans should not be intimidated by sponsored criminals from not returning home for Christmas. However, we advise our people to take the following travel advice seriously and be on their guard.
‘People should inform their families and friends when they are travelling and what routes they may be taking.

In another report, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, who represents Abia South in the red chamber of the National Assembly, has charged Ndigbo to remain resilient in whatever they do, saying that is what Igbos are known for.
Speaking as the chairman of 2023 Aka Ikenga Awards and Christmas Party in Lagos on Sunday, the fiery senator said it was unfortunate that Igbos are at the receiving end of suppressions in Nigeria, saying such won’t move Nigeria forward.
The former deputy governor of Abia State reminded Ndigbo that they should remain focused because the region is not known to be afraid of anything.
