The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Anambra State ceremoniously conferred new ranks on 82 senior officers of the command who were recently promoted.
Conducting the decoration ceremony at the State Command Headquarters in Awka on Tuesday, Mr. Edwin Osuala, the state commandant, urged the officers to improve their dedication, discipline, loyalty, and commitment in discharging their duties.
As per a press statement released on Wednesday by the Public Relations Officer, Okadigbo Edwin, Mr. Osuala noted that the promotion served as a clear testament to the outstanding performance of the officers, hence, duly bestowing on them the rewards they have truly earned and deserve.
Recognizing their contributions, Mr. Osuala extended his gratitude to Dr. Ahmed Audi, the Commandant-General of NSCDC, and the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board for their dedicated efforts in promoting the officers and providing essential welfare packages.

He offered counsel to those who did not receive the promotion, encouraging them to remain patient and maintain faith that their opportunity for promotion would eventually arrive.
He said, ‘Let me congratulate you on your well-earned promotion. This is an indication that you are doing well. Now that you have been rewarded for hard work, I charge you to always put in your best and be focused on carrying out your responsibilities.’
‘I am happy that your sacrifice has been rewarded, though not without a challenge to keep up the good work and strive to perform better.’
‘Promotion comes from God. For those who did not get this time, continue to give your best, and remain good ambassadors of the Corps. Yours will come at the right time.’
DCC Ike George, speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, expressed profound gratitude to the CG and the Board for acknowledging their merit and promoting them to higher ranks. He pledged their unwavering commitment, assuring that they would amplify their efforts to fulfill their duties with utmost loyalty, thereby validating the faith invested in them.
Officers who received promotions include: DCC Ike George, assuming the position of Head of Technical Services; DCC Asim Nkoyo Attah, taking on the role of Head of Disaster Management; DCC Akaachia Godwin, entrusted as the Operations Officer; ACC Nwagu Samuel; ACC Gladys Okwesa; SC Nwaneri Emmanuel, assuming the position of Officer in Charge of Special Duty; SC Ikenna Nwokedi; and ASC I Onuorah Tochukwu.
In attendance at the decoration ceremony were the members of the Command’s management team, as well as the families and friends of the newly promoted officer.
