This came after a white 18-seater Hummer Toyota bus with the registration number JJJ 941 XA (Lagos) summerslammed along the Ibadan/Oyo Expressway yesterday, leaving at least four people confirmed dead and numerous others injured.

As of the time of publication, the search for further bodies in the river was still ongoing, according to village sources.

According to the Atiba Unit Commander of Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), DCC Bayode Olugbesan, the accident along Ibadan/Oyo Expressway was caused by overspeeding and overloading.
