Ahead of next year’s general elections, the Enugu State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has confirmed Barrister George Tagbo Ogara as the deputy governorship candidate and running mate to the party’s governorship candidate, Chief Uche Nnaji in the state.
Speaking to the members of the party while unveiling his running mate at the APC Secretariat in Enugu, Cheif Nnaji who expressed his determination to build a new Enugu state if elected as governor in 2023 said it was in view of this that the party carefully chose a matching quality for him having known his quality to deliver the dividend of democracy to the people of the state.
Chief Nnaji who said he is the best gubernatorial candidate in the state ahead of the 2023 general election noted that ‘today I have also gotten the best deputy candidate of all party’.

He lamented over the poor state of infrastructures in Enugu state, saying ‘we embarked on wards tours and it was indeed an eye opener to me, what has bedevilled Enugu state today is not a fight one person can fight but I believe that with our collective efforts and support we shall win all elections in 2023 and build new Enugu state to make our people happy again.
‘I want to assure you that the new APC is working in progress and we shall reconcile with all those that are reconcilable and for those that are not reconcilable, we will reconcile them when we get to government house,’ he said
Speaking shortly after he was unveiled, the new deputy governorship candidate, Bar Ogara thanked the gubernatorial candidate and leaders of the party for nominating him saying “I am overwhelmed for the support accorded to me by our great party in the state
Bar Ogara who pledged to be loyal to the party said “all I need to do is to be loyal and work for my great party so that all our interest in building a new Enugu state will be successful.
