Anambra Traditional Ruler Alleges Threat To Life

The traditional ruler of Nawfia, in the  Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, Igwe Chijioke Nwankwo, has alleged that his life was in danger.

He said a certain lawyer in his community was working with some people, who killed his father, Igwe FFBC Nwankwo, about 20 years ago to assassinate him.

Briefing newsmen in his palace on Thursday, the monarch said, ‘They want to kill me like they killed my father, late Igwe FFBC Nwankwo. I don’t want to die like my father, who was assassinated on February 15, 2000 in his palace.’

‘Just three days ago, in front of my palace, some youths were stabbed and they were rushed to the hospital.’

He said the lawyer had instigated several court actions against him.
