One person has been confirmed dead while four other people were seriously injured after a water tanker rammed into a tricycle in Anambra on Monday.
The Anambra State Sector Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, RC Kamal Musa, in a statement confirmed that the accident occurred along Onitsha-Awka Old road opposite Jodon Shopping Mall Nkpor, at about 3 pm.
Musa said that the unfortunate incident occurred as a result of excessive speeding and wrongful overtaking.

He also said that four persons who sustained serious injuries in the accident were rushed to Boromi hospital Onitsha, by FRSC rescue team.
According to him, the corpse of the victim that died was deposited at the Mogue after he was confirmed dead by the doctors in the Hospital.
