Imo Traditional Council Denounces Monarch Involved In Kidnapping

The Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers have said that the suspected kidnapper from Obor Awarra in Ohaji/Egbema local government area of Imo state, Andrew Okuegbunuwa is not a traditional ruler in the State.

The council made the announcement via a radio broadcast signed by the secretary of community policing committee, Eze Lucky Okoro.

It said, although the said kidnap suspect is from Obor Awarra in Ohaji/Egbema LGA, he was never a traditional ruler recognized by the council.

Members of the state council of traditional rulers, according to the broadcast, are revered and respected people whose cardinal duties are to advocate for peace and crime free society.

It condemned the act of impersonation done with the revered institution, calling on the general public to disregard the claim by the suspect of being a traditional ruler.
