Miyetti Allah’s Vigilante Group Not Welcomed In South East – Igbo Council

The Igbo National Council (INC) has said that the new vigilante group recently launched by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) will not be welcomed in the South East.

The National President of the group, Chilos Godsent, in a communiqué after a meeting in Enugu State, warned the association to restrict the activities of its vigilante group, known as Kautal Hore to only the northern part of the country.

Daily Times had reported that Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, the Fulani socio-cultural association announced the establishment of its nationwide security outfit in order to curtail security challenges confronting the country on Wednesday, July 29.

This statement came after the leadership of Miyetti Allah said that they would extend their security outfit to Benue and other parts of the country, the Sun news reports.

Reacting to this, the group warned the herders vigilante to stay clear of its territories or face the consequences just as it has also urged the southeast governors to help shed off the local security outfit.

Its president, Godsent, also called on the Governors of the southeast zone to immediately pass the Anti-Open Grazing Laws in other to stop what it termed as “the deliberate reckless, balkanization of farm lands in the Igbo territory by the devilish Jihadists Herdsmen.”
