It was revealed on Friday that the rapper has become a grandfather after his daughter, Hailie Jade, announced the birth of her son via Instagram.

Messages of congratulations have been pouring in for both Eminem and his daughter, Hailie, along with her husband, Evan McClintock.

In October 2024, Eminem released a poignant music video for his song Temporary, which featured a montage of old home videos of his daughter. Towards the conclusion of the video, the proud father included a touching clip in which Hailie revealed to him that she was expecting her first child with her husband.

In other news, the proposed takeover of Tranmere Rovers is set to be completed, afer A$AP Rocky was found not guilty on two felony counts of assault.

The rapper had been charged with two counts relating to use of a semi-automatic weapon in a 2021 altercation with another hip-hop artist in Hollywood.

Rocky, who has two sons with singer Rihanna, was acquitted on Tuesday.

The verdict was handed down on Feb. 18 at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center in Los Angeles. The 36-year-old rapper, actor and designer, whose legal name is Rakim Mayers, dove into the arms of Rihanna when the news was announced, according to the Associated Press. The courtroom erupted in celebration.

Rihanna — a fixture in court during the trial, bringing the couple’s two sons, RZA, 2, and Riot Rose, 1, to closing arguments on Feb. 13 — sat between Mayers’s mother, Renee Black, and sister, Erika B. The three women embraced and sobbed after the news.

Mayers, who faced a maximum sentence of 24 years in state prison, also hugged his lawyers and told jurors as they walked out of the courtroom, “Thank y’all for saving my life.”
