The Former Nigerian Minister of Transportation Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has reiterated that he is angry with the docile way Nigerians are responding to the current economic challenges.
Amaechi made this known in an interview with Newsmen.
The former governor of Rivers State also said he expected youths to storm different streets and protest against the high cost of living but he has not seen anything that shows that they are serious.

“People should be angry because you cannot see a group of people stealing your money without doing anything. I am really angry with the citizens because they are not doing anything.
“Look at what happened in Edo State, should any politician be campaigning in Edo State? See, some of us cannot afford to buy diesel again because it’s costly,” he said.
Amaechi served as the Minister of Transportation for nearly eight years during the immediate past administration of Muhammadu Buhari.
In another news, the President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has revealed that his 650,000 barrels per day capacity refinery was built without a single incentive from the Nigerian government.
Dangote had made this disclosure at the ongoing Crude Oil Refinery Owners Association of Nigeria Summit in Lagos.
The Africa richest man, who was represented by the Executive Director, Dangote Group, Engr Mansur Ahmed, said it is worth noting that the Dangote Refinery already produces sufficient diesel and jet fuel to meet Nigeria’s demand.
The $20 billion refinery came on stream on January 12, 2024, with a refining capacity of 300,000 barrels but increased to 400,000 barrels by the end of September 2024.
On September 15, the refinery began distribution of its petrol with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited as the sole off-taker.
