Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma asserted his integrity on Thursday, August 22, confidently stating that his tenure as a public servant has been utterly corruption-free.
Governor Hope Uzodinma shared his wisdom with an audience at the Michael Okpara Leadership Lecture and Award 2024, held at the Musa Yar’ Adua Centre in Abuja, cautioning public officeholders against the pitfalls of corruption and encouraging them to lead by example, living within their legitimate means.
Governor Hope Uzodinma, as reported by The Eastern Updates, diagnosed the root causes of Nigeria’s corruption epidemic as an unquenchable thirst for wealth and a widespread lack of discipline, which have collectively undermined the nation’s integrity.
Governor Uzodinma stressed the need for Nigeria’s political leaders to learn from the remarkable legacy of the late Premier Michael Okpara, whose selfless leadership and vision can serve as a catalyst for a more prosperous nation.
Governor Uzodinma revealed that the Imo state government’s Egbema power plant project is on track for completion and commissioning by early 2025, as reported by Leadership. He described the project as a game-changer in providing a reliable 24-hour electricity supply to all parts of the state, driving economic growth and development.
“Rigging an Election is the worse form of corruption and God knows you are the biggest Rigger in Nigeria right now.”

Emelumba cautioned the purveyors of the fake news to halt their activities, highlighting the potential consequences of their actions, which can jeopardize the mutual understanding and cooperation between the federal and state governments.
