ESUT Offers Automatic Employment To Best 3 Graduates

Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has offered automatic employments to its best three graduating students in the 2021/2022 academic session.

The Eastern Updates reports that the beneficiaries included the overall best graduate from across all the departments and faculties, Ms. Ikeonyia Barbara Ijeoma from the Department of Industrial Physics, Faculty of Applied Natural Sciences; Mr. Muoananu Ifenna Chinedu from the Computer Engineering Department, in the Faculty of Engineering, who came second, while the third best-graduating student was Mr. Arum Tobechukwu Franklin, from the Biology Education Department in the Faculty of Education.

Vice Chancellor of the university, Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, made the offers during the 19th convocation ceremony of the university at its Agbani main campus, where the top graduates also received deserved awards and honours, at the weekend.

A total of 11,377 graduates of the university in the 2021/2022 academic session received their certificates that included 9,085 with first degrees; 465 for post-graduate diplomas; 1,177 with masters’ degrees and 650 graduates who bagged their Doctor of Philosophy degrees. 

They graduated from the university’s 11 faculties of Agriculture, Applied Natural Sciences, Clinical Medicine, Clinical Health Sciences, Education, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Law, Management, Pharmacy and Social Sciences and Humanities.

Also, five eminent Nigerians were awarded with honorary doctorates, including the Country Chair, Shell Companies in Nigeria, and Managing Director of the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), Osagie Okunbor, who received Doctor of Business Administration (Honoris Causa).

Others were Ugochukwu Chime who bagged Doctor of Business and Financial Management (Honoris Causa); Ike Chioke; Doctor of Financial Management (Honoris Causa); Ezeifedi Umeukeje; Doctor of Public Administration (Honoris Causa) and Baywood Ibeh, Doctor of Business Administration (Honoris Causa).

Many of the students of the institution have taken to social media react to the offers.
