Mrs. Ifeoma Kalu, wife of a former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has passed on in the United States after a brief illness.
The federal lawmaker who is in the race to lead the 10th Senate confirmed the development in a post on his official Facebook page on Monday.
The Chief Whip of the Senate said Ifeoma, who died at the age of 61, was a woman of virtue who was committed to the service of God and humanity.
Kalu wrote, ‘With a heavy heart and pain, we announce the passing on to the eternal glory of Mrs Ifeoma Ada Kalu aged 61.
‘She was a woman of virtue who was committed to the service of God and humanity.
‘A memorial service in her honour is scheduled to hold in the United States of America.’
Recall that Kalu had returned to his Alma Mater, Harvard Business School, United States of America for further studies last week.
The Senate chief whip whose first enrolment in Harvard Business School dated back to 1997, said he gained a lot of experience in those early years he studied Advanced Management Programme 153.
