Umahi Announces Appointment Of 30 New SAs

The Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi has confirmed the appointment of 30 Special Assistants (SAs) to his cabinet less than 65 days to the end of his tenure. 

This was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State government, and Coordinating Commissioner, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala, on Wednesday.

The newly appointed SAs include Augustina Nkechi Nwaovu, Obinna Nwaiboko, Baron Anya, Innocent Eluu, Chima Nnachi Okoro, Eze Ama Okoro, Victor Nwaobasi, Elias Igwe, Ikechukwu Nwafor, Kingsley Akam, Theodore Iheta, Emmanuel Ekuma, Martin Anari-Chinedu Oga, John Ogodo, Afulike Uchechukwu and Justice Agu Ogbonnaya.

Others are: Mrs. Blessing Nweze, Victor Nnoke, Chijioke Nwuzor, Uche Nwankpuma, Mrs. Roseline Nkwuda, Patrick Enyi, Tochukwu Uzor, Mrs. Sharon Nnennaya Umahi, Ejike Chibueze Agbo, Barr. Stephen Ogenyi, Arthur Ude Umanta, Ikechukwu Anoke, Uchenna Ugwuta and Sebastian Ojiogu

The new appointees have been sworn-in on Wednesday, 22nd March, 2023 by the Governor at the New Executive Council Chamber, Government House, Centenary City, Abakaliki.

In another report, Umahi had on Tuesday announced the immediate dissolution of boards, commissions, and 64 development centre coordinators, except Ebonyi State University Governing Council.

The dissolution was contained in a statement signed by Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kenneth Ugbala, and made available to journalists.

The governor, in the statement, indicated that the governing council of the Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, was exempted from the dissolution.
