The Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi will on Sunday, January 29, 2023, commission the Housing Estate Road that leads from Nike Road to the Cathedral Church of St. Cyprian, Abakpa-Nike, Enugu.
The Eastern Updates reports that Prince Arthur Eze reconstructed the road at the request of Nike Diocese, Anglican Communion, Enugu.
A statement signed by Dr. Chiwuike Uba, Media Adviser to the Bishop of Nike Diocese, Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev. Dr. Christian Onyia, stated that the governor will commission the road project in the company of the Archbishop, Metropolitan, and Primate of All Nigeria (Anglican communion), Rev Henry C. Ndukuba.
Uba stated that the commissioning of the road will be preceded by other activities associated with the visit of the Primate to Nike Diocese, adding that he would feature at the Diocesan Covenant Service, retirement service of the Provost of the Cathedral, Very Rev Prof. Chinedu Nebo and his wife, Dame Ify Nebo, who will be marking her 70th birthday and 45th wedding anniversary of the couple.
In another report, Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Enugu East Senatorial District of Enugu State yesterday joined other political, religious, and traditional leaders to endorse the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, as their sole candidate for the election in March.
The APC chieftains were led by the former President of the Senate, Senator Ken Nnamani, who was represented at colourful rally by the immediate past Chairman of the party in the state and presently a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Dr Ben Nwoye, said that their decision to endorse the PDP governorship candidate, Mbah, was borne out of their conviction about his character, manifesto, comportment, depth of heart, judicious temperament and ability to lead.
