An aide to Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, Mr. Sunday Agwu has been confirmed dead.
He died on Monday from injuries he sustained in an auto crash which occurred on Sunday.
Agwu was until his death,the Coordinator of Ishielu Development Centre in Ishielu Local Government Area
He was taken to a hospital for treatment but efforts to save him were not successful.
The accident, sources said, occurred along the Enugu-Abakaliki expressway.

Chairman of Ishielu Local government area, Mr Obinna Onwe, confirmed the Agwu death.
He described the death of the Agwu as a colossal loss to the council and the state at large and condoled with the family.
This is the second death of an ally to the Governor this month.
Leonard Chibuzor Alegu, a lawyer and member of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly Service Commission, was shot dead by gunmen in Anambra State.
It was gathered that the incident occurred in the late hours of December 17 along the Enugu-Onitsha expressway, in the Umunya community, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra state.
A source said the deceased was travelling from Abakaliki to Onitsha to attend a child dedication when the incident occurred.
It was further gathered that the deceased stopped to ease himself when his killers accosted him.
In the process of struggling to escape from them, he was shot in the stomach.
His killers made away with his vehicle and phone.
