Imo Indigenes In The North Applaud Uzodinma’s Performance

Indigenes of Imo State resident in the 19 states of Northern Nigeria, as well as Abuja, have lauded the performance of Governor Hope Uzodinma, saying he has made a remarkable difference in the lives of the people.

They spoke at the weekend at a cultural festival organised by the Abuja branch of Imo State Town Union.

The chairman of the Elders Council of the Union, Nze Ozichukwu Chukwu, stated members of the union were impressed by the infrastructural transformation by Uzodinma in less than two years of his administration.

Eze Nwaosu Ibe, who presented the award to Uzodinma from the union, said they were awaiting to be given a date to enable them to formally receive and honour him for his giant strides in the state.

IUzodinma, represented by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, said peace had returned to the state, asking the union to feel free to visit home during the Christmas festival.

Uzodinma used the occasion to challenge them to work for the continued unity of Nigeria, stressing that Igbo would gain more by being Nigerians.
