Buhari Reacts To Death Of Onyeka Onyeagwu

President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that he was saddened by the demise of Anthony Onyeka Onyeagwu, aged 47 years, who died on 5th November.

The President remarked that in his rather short but remarkable life, the late Onyeagwu had built a name and achieved fame for himself through sheer determination and tenacity.

This was contained in a statement by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity which was sighted by The Eastern Updates on Thursday.

Buhari urged the family he left, including his brother, Ebenezer Onyeagwu, Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank, and his boss, Jim Ovia, to preserve the memory and legacies of the deceased.

Meanwhile, President Buhari is currently in France for a three-day Paris Peace Forum (PPF), November 11-13, 2021.

Buhari had arrived in Paris, the French capital, on Tuesday for the summit.

The Eastern Updates gathered that earlier on Thursday, Buhari told investors that investment in gas remains a top priority for Nigeria due to the huge benefits in terms of returns and utility.

Speaking at the summit, Buhari had lamented that Africa is being cheated, oppressed, and lied to by rich nations.
