The leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has commended officers of Nigeria Police Force, NPF, who tendered their resignation to the police authority.
Kanu writing on his Facebook page said: ‘I want to commend the policemen and women of Nigeria Police that have so far submitted their resignation letter to the IGP of police. I thank you all for heading our call to leave the wicked Fulani controlled police force which has over the years turned into a murderous Fulani vehicle for the extermination of young Southerners. We all know that Nigeria as presently constituted is unsustainable and only by leaving the police and returning to your ethnicity/regions will the future of our youths are bravely fighting for it to be realized. It is the height of stupidity to allow Fulani officers to use Middle Belt and Southern officers in police and army to be killing their own young people in the name of preserving one One Nigeria that only Benefits the Janjaweed north. Enough is enough #wemove.’

News has it that hundreds of personnel of Nigeria Police Force tendered their resignation letters in the aftermath of the #EndSARS protests but was rejected by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu. According to the report, a senior police officer reportedly said “There is no amount of talk that will assuage the anger of policemen. We are very angry. Many of my colleagues tendered their resignation, but they are not accepting it. The morale is terribly low. Our officers were dehumanized. Some were killed. Many of us don’t have offices anymore. Nigerians should ask us to go if they don’t need police anymore. Are we not also Nigerians? Why should we be treated like animals?” an officer fumed.
Nnamdi Kanu has on many occasions called on police officers from the Southern and Middle Belt part of Nigeria to resign and join in resisting and fight against the Northern Fulani controlled Nigeria government that has hijacked all the institutions of government for the purpose of furthering their Jihad agenda against other ethnic groups of Nigeria. While making the call on Radio Biafra Kanu assured them that their Salaries and benefits will be paid for ten years.
Meanwhile the police authority is currently silent on the news of police officers resignation.
