Senator Uche Ekwunife, who represented Anambra Central in the Senate, has firmly denied rumors that she is seeking the Deputy Governor office in the upcoming 2025 Anambra State governorship election, putting an end to the speculation that has been circulating in political circles.

While maintaining her allegiance to the APC, Senator Ekwunife, who also serves as Director General of the South East Governors’ Forum, has announced she will not be seeking the Deputy Governor position in the 2025 election, putting to rest speculation about her political ambitions.

Senator Ekwunife dismissed the rumor as baseless, emphasizing that she has no intention of vying for the Deputy Governor seat, as it’s a position typically determined by the party’s internal dynamics and not a directly elected office.
