Uzodinma Reinstates Heads Of 3 Agencies, Gives Reason

The heads of Imo State Primary Healthcare Devel­opment Agency (IMSPHC­DA), Imo State Health In­surance Agency (ISHIA) and Imo State Sports Commission (ISSC) have been reinstated in their positions by the government of Imo State. 

The Eastern Updates reports that affected heads included; Rev. Sister (Dr.) Maria Jo­anne’s Uzoma (IMSPHC­DA), Dr. Uche Ewelike (ISHIA) and Sir Eleazer Onyewuchi Ogbonna (ISSC).

The two agencies and the Commission were among the government Parastatals, Agencies, Extra Ministerial Depart­ments, Commissions and Development Centres said to have been dissolved by the government recently.

Governor Hope Uzod­inma of Imo State who di­rected yesterday that the heads of the affected bod­ies be reinstated immedi­ately said the IMSPHCDA, ISHIA and ISSC, were ab initio, exempted from the earlier dissolution.

In another report, the election petition tribunal sitting on electoral petitions stemming from the gubernatorial elections held in Imo State last year has concluded its sittings in the cases brought before it.

The legal adviser to the Labor Party (LP), Ihejirika Eze Emeka on Thursday disclosed that all parties involved in the Imo state governorship election petition tribunal have concluded presenting their cases based on the time alotted to them.

He said the election petition, led by LP’s gubernatorial candidate, Senator Athan Achonu against INEC, Senator Hope Uzodimma, and others, has reached the stage where witnesses have been called, and evidence has been tendered to support their claims.
