The governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, and his Lagos State counterpart, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, are the special guests of honour at the 2022 Abia State Town Unions Association (ASTUA), Lagos Day.

The event holds on September 17, 2022, at the Police College Field, Ikeja by 1.00 pm.

According to the President General of the Association, Prince Ejituru Ikenga, one of the highlights of the event is the ₦200 million fund raising for ASTUA House in Lagos, adding that, the chairman of the ceremony is Chief Paul Mang Iwo (Nwakaibeya of Abiriba); the father of the day, Uche Dimgba (Okpotemba), Eze Ndigbo, Ikeja; while the Secretary to Abia State Government, Chris Ezem is the keynote speaker.

Ikpeazu has assured traders of Ariaria International and Ngwa road markets of the determination of his administration to remodel the markets to meet international standards.

Ikpeazu made this known in Aba recently the commercial nerve of the state while interacting with the executives and some major stakeholders in the two major markets.

Gov. Ikpeazu who stated that the interface with the traders will be frequent in order to ensure that the government carried the traders along in the scheme of things, said that the government was desirous to making sure that the traders return to their shops and do their businesses under a safer and conducive environment which was why the government began the remodeling of the markets in phases.
