Anambra’s Soludo Asset To NGF – Gov Fayemi

The Governor of Ekiti State and Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Dr Kayode Fayemi, on Saturday described his Anambra State counterpart, Prof Chukwuma Soludo as an asset to the forum hailing his intellectual disposition.

The Eastern Updates reports that Governor Fayemi was on Saturday received by Soludo at the Anambra State governor’s lodge, Amawbia, Anambra State.

Fayemi disclosed that he was in Anambra to meet with Soludo, who he described as his long time friend, and whose activities in office he has been following since he came to power.

Prof Soludo has been my long time friend. He will be an asset to the NGF, and I believe that he will do an excellent job in Anambra State.

‘Anambra has been relatively lucky with focused and progressive governors, and adding Governor Soludo’s experience will transform Anambra State,’ he submitted.

While welcoming Fayemi, Soludo stated that Anambra and Ekiti share something in common which is human capital.

The Governor thanked Dr Fayemi for visiting and commended the NGF Chairman for the quality leadership he has been providing at the Forum, expressing hope that a formidable synergy among leaders, devoid of political interests, will help to build a better future for the country.

Meanwhile as part of his efforts to restructure the sports sphere in Anambra State Governor Solduo has urged Bayern Munich FC of Germany to consider establishing an Academy in Anambra to deepen the game of football in Nigeria.

Soludo made the request while welcoming the Bayern Munich technical team who were in the state for the National Youth Cup on Saturday.

The governor who spoke through Tony Oli, chairman of the Anambra Sports Development Commission, said the state was happy to have provided a good football stadium which qualified the state to play host for the program.
