Ngige Finally Arrives At APC National Caucus Hours After Bail

Former Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige, who was granted bail earlier today by an FCT High Court, has arrived at the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Caucus meeting in Abuja.

Chris Ngige, who faces an eight-count prosecution by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over alleged abuse of office and acceptance of gifts totalling around N2.2 billion, attended the gathering.

President Bola Tinubu is presiding over the meeting at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

The gathering is the party’s first caucus since Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda was elected APC national chairman in July.

In other news, The recently defected Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, on Wednesday visited the national headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Fubara arrived at the party secretariat around 6:50 p.m. and was received by the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru; the National Welfare Secretary, Hon. Donatus Nwapa; and the Deputy National Organising Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru. The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), was also present to welcome the governor.

Dressed in a white kaftan and red cap, Fubara explained to the National Secretary that although he was expected at the Progressive Governors’ meeting, he felt it was important to first pay a visit to the party headquarters.

He was subsequently ushered into the National Secretary’s office, where he held a closed-door meeting.

The Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, says President Bola Tinubu has delivered significantly for Rivers State and the South-South region.
