Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has parted ways with his Chief Press Secretary, Kazie Uko, in a surprise development that may have far-reaching implications for the state government.
After huddling with Governor Alex Otti in an Executive Council meeting Wednesday evening, Commissioner for Information Okey Kanu stepped forward to share the news of Kazie Uko’s termination as Chief Press Secretary.
In a concurrent announcement, Commissioner Kanu disclosed that Kalu Ukoha Kalu has been tapped to succeed Kazie Uko as Chief Press Secretary, with the change taking effect immediately.

Governor Alex Otti has stepped in to rescue Abia students in India, whose school fees were left unpaid by the former administration, by approving the necessary funds. Moreover, he has also sanctioned payments for Abia students enrolled in Nigerian Law Schools, ensuring their educational journey continues uninterrupted.
The Commissioner said, “Following Governor Alex Otti’s interest and the high premium he placed on students, the governor has graciously approved the payment of school fees of Abia students in India. He also approved the payment of school fees of 271 Abia students in Nigeria Law Schools.”
Governor Alex Otti has achieved a major milestone in his quest to revamp the state’s education sector, with the accreditation of 19 programs at Abia State University Uturu (ABSU), a feat that underscores his administration’s dedication to academic quality.
