TC Nominees Confirmed By Anambra House Of Assembly

The Anambra State House of Assembly has completed the thorough vetting, affirmation, and extension of service for 21 individuals handpicked by Governor Charles Soludo to lead as chairpersons of the Local Government Transition Committee.

The Speaker of the House, Dr. Somtochukwu Udeze, brought to attention a letter dated February 2nd, authored by Governor Soludo, urging for the vetting and endorsement of the chairmen, during the assembly session.

The state assembly has officially endorsed a three-month tenure for the Transitional Committee Chairmen, with provisions for either extension or the introduction of new appointments once the term expires.

Speaking directly to the Transitional Committee Chairmen (TCCs), Udeze emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and diligently executing their responsibilities to effect positive changes in the lives of their constituents.

He also recommended that they localize and customize Governor Soludo’s administration’s policies and agenda to better address the specific needs and concerns of their local communities.

“I urge you to initiate programmes that will make meaningful impacts on the lives of the rural populace and shun acts that could cause conflicts,” Udeze said.

On behalf of his colleagues, Mr. Livinus Onyenwe, Chairman of Ayamelum LG, conveyed sincere appreciation to the legislators for validating their appointments, ensuring continued cooperation, assistance, and the dissemination of Governor Soludo’s agenda throughout the grassroots community.
