Onu Shares Why He’ll Triumph In Ebonyi By-Election

In the lead-up to the Ebonyi South senatorial by-election, Silas Onu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, disclosed his blueprint to lead the party triumphantly through the state’s election on February 3rd.

He contends that the PDP, despite ceding control of the state to the All Progressives Congress (APC), remains firmly entrenched in the grassroots community.

This declaration was made during a gathering with PDP ward executives representing the five local government areas in Ebonyi South, convened at his residence in Amenu Uburu, located in Ohaozara LGA.

The primary objective of the gathering was to establish the foundational framework for PDP campaign initiatives spanning the various local government areas (LGAs).

The PDP’s chosen candidate cautioned rival parties, asserting that the party would not idly stand by and permit any interference with the people’s right to choose him as their representative.

Onu, a former state chairman of PDP in the state, stated that the party is ready for the election and will defeat her opponents.

He noted that winning the by-election would give the party a gateway into other senatorial zones that were previously governed by the party.

He thanked the ward executives and party supporters across the zone for standing firmly and believing in Onu and the PDP.

He summoned party members from the zone to stand strong and actively mobilize for the upcoming election, underlining the commitment to protect and uphold the integrity of their votes.

Onu seized the occasion to assign the responsibility to ward leaders and crucial stakeholders, urging them to persistently advocate for the PDP cause within their respective wards and polling units.

He implored them to connect with local voters in their polling units, motivating them to turn out in large numbers and cast their votes for the PDP, assuring them that their votes would significantly contribute to the desired change in the zone.

In response, the campaign director, Chukwuma Igwe, affirmed their commitment to exert every effort to guarantee the party’s triumph.
