The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has affirmed its commitment to maintaining a synergistic association with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Enugu State.
During a familiarisation visit on Friday in Enugu, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Kanayo Uzuegbu, gave this assurance as he welcomed Mr Aliyu Naibi, the Zonal Commander of EFCC, Enugu Zonal Command.
‘I give you my word that the existing cordial working relationship between the police and the commission in Enugu State shall remain unbroken.’
‘In fact, be rest assured that I will always treat all collaborative requests to aid your activities with dispatch,’ Uzuegbu said.
Naibi previously acknowledged that the current collaborative bond between the police and the commission was both immutable and unavoidable.

According to him, the established connection between the two entities was the reason behind the familiarisation visit to the police commissioner.
Naibi voiced his confidence that the action would enhance the collaboration between them even more.
This partnership is anticipated to streamline the effective execution of duties. With this unified effort, culprits will be promptly tracked down and held accountable more rapidly.
This move is expected to bring about a significant cleansing of corruption in the state, if not its complete elimination.
