Police Apprehends 30 Pro-Biafra Agitators In Enugu

The Police Command in Enugu State have arrested no fewer than 30 Pro-Biafra agitators who were nabbed during the procession for the Biafran Day celebration in Enugu.

The arrested Agitators are members of the Biafra Zionist Movement (BZM) clamouring for a sovereign state of Biafra.

Sources who at the location told reporters that they were arrested around 11 am on Tuesday and taken to the state police command.

The Eastern Updates gathered that the Agitators assembled at a location along Independence Layout, Enugu, and were about commencing procession when the police swooped on them.

Sources disclosed that the agitators held Biafran flags and those of Israel and the United States of America when they were arrested.

The source said: “The men numbering over 30 had arrived the venue where they were set to embark on procession. They had Biafran flags and those of USA and Israel. They were also carrying loads of tracks bearing the name of their group and their messages.

“So, it was when they started matching that about five Hilux vans loaded with policemen came and arrested them. I must tell you that they were not bearing any arms or dangerous weapons”.

The Eastern Updates reports that many southeasterners remember the souls who died during Nigerian civil war on the 30th of May every year.
