Ahead of next year’s general elections, the gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti has called on the good people of the state to participate fully in the democratic governance of their state and the country.

The Eastern Updates recalls that prior to emerging the candidate of the Labour Party, Alex Otti had earlier withdrawn from the APC gubernatorial primaries which took place on May 26, 2022.

Otti who hailed from Arochukwu Local Government Area in Abia North Senatorial District of Abia State had subsequently dumped the APC for the Labour Party (LP) and clinched the party’s governorship seat ticket for the 2023 elections.

While tasking the electorates on participation in governance during a church programme in Aba, the LP candidate stressed that the citizenry must get fully involved in the process of governance for genuine economic and infrastructural development to be engendered in Abia, and also to ensure those entrusted with the people’s mandate are put on their toes to discharge their constitutional responsibilities.
