The Governor Ugwuanyi-led administration of Enugu State through the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB) has recently reconstructed 11 classroom blocks at Achara Layout Primary and Secondary School in Enugu Urban.
According to reports the classroom block which got dilapidated had made learning and teaching uncomfortable for the students and teachers before the Enugu State government intervened.

During a visit to the school on Friday 26th February, it was discovered that the Enugu State government had also provided the school with new teaching aids and learning materials to enable the school to meet up with the modern standard of education.
