Following the remarkable efforts made by the Imo State Government through the Special Adviser to the Governor on Project Monitoring Okigwe Zone Engr. Francis Chukwu immediately the popular Ezeala Akpaka bridge along Umuelemai-Aba Branch-Orieagu-Umuahia road caved in, which drew the attention of the Federal Government; the Federal Government through the Federal Roads Maintainance Agency has constructed a Box Culvert on the bad spot which has addressed the plight of motorists and other road users on the portion of the road.
Inspecting the project, the S.A to the Governor on Project Monitoring Okigwe Zone Engr. Francis Chukwu applauded the Federal Government for the execution of the project.

He extolled the Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma for his charisma and extensive contacts which have not only positioned Imo State well at the centre but have also created an enabling environment for Imo State Government and different MDAs of Federal Government to effectively synergise in order to bring about all round development to Imo State.
Hon. Engr. Chukwu used the opportunity to enjoin the road users and Imolites to keep faith with the Shared Prosperity Government of Senator Hope Uzodinma saying that, it is poised to deliver unprecedented good governance to the state.
It will be recalled that Hon. Engr. Francis Chukwu and the IMC Chairman of Ehime Mbano LGA Barr. Chidi Okechukwu had visited the Ezeakpaka Bridge just a day after it caved in and assured motorists as well as other road users that it will be fixed by Government.
