The Abia state government on Saturday, announced the exemption of the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Uche Ihediwa, Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, and the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Osuji from the dissolution of the State Executive Council which was announced yesterday.
The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, had earlier approved the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council, expressing his deep appreciation to the cabinet members for their services to the people of Abia state and wishes them well for the future.

But in a special announcement made available to News correspondents on Saturday, The state government announced the exemption of the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr Uche Ihediwa, and two other commissioners.
The state government stated, ‘Further to the earlier announced dissolution of the state executive council, the Governor has directed that the previous announcement exempts the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr Uche Ihediwa, Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, and the Commissioner for Health, Dr Joe Osuji.
‘They are to continue performing the duties of their office along with the Secretary to State Government, Barr Chris Ezem.‘ The statement read in part.
The Governor has also recalled the suspended Chief of Staff, Dr. ACB Agbazuere.
