Speaking in an interview amid the backlash, she made a U-turn on her earlier claim, saying, “I don’t have stage 4 cancer. That was a miscommunication.”
Reacting to the development, netizens condemned her action and demanded return of money donated to her.
A new twist has emerged in the saga as the self-acclaimed relationship expert and her lover IVD, a Lagos-based celebrity auto dealer, have now deactivated their social media accounts.

The Federal Government has responded to calls from Nigerians to investigate the alleged child sexual abuse at singer Simi’s mother’s daycare centre.
This came after Simi’s old posts on X surfaced on social media amid the rape allegation by a Tiktok user identified as Mirabel.
The Eastern Updates reports that the singer had raised concerns over the growing sexual assault culture in the country.
While explaining that almost every woman she knows are victims of sexual assault, she recommended that rapists should be castrated.
Her post resulted in an online exchange between her and others with contradictory opinions.
Amid the controversy, some of the singer’s old tweet about experience with children at her mother’s daycare resurfaced online, with users alleging it suggested inappropriate intent.
Reacting to call from netizens, the Nigeria government through the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, assured the public of its commitment to investigate every credible claim of child sexual abuse and misconduct.
NAPTIP in a post on its official X, urged anyone with concrete information or victims to reach out confidentially.
“If you have factual information, evidence, or were directly affected, please reach out confidentially via DM or email [email protected].”
Fresh controversy has emerged in the ongoing custody dispute involving Afrobeats star, Davido and his daughter, Imade, following the singer’s decision to withdraw from the case and subsequent public reactions that drew a formal response from the law firm representing the child’s mother.
Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, announced late Friday that he had opted to discontinue the custody proceedings, insisting that he never sought sole custody of his daughter but only requested joint custody.
He maintained that no party emerged victorious from the case, describing the situation as a loss for the child involved.
