First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has said that, despite challenges, Nigeria would remain united, insisting that the country will not disintegrate.

The First Lady expressed this hope on Sunday during the Thanksgiving service for the investiture of Most Rev. Sunday Onuoha as Archbishop on Special Duties at the Methodist Unity Cathedral, Abuja.

Represented by the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, the president’s wife said the nation’s stability depended on God.

She therefore called on Nigerians to intensify prayers for the country, the church, and the leadership.

“Nigeria will not disintegrate. Nigeria will remain one indivisible entity. God will be with Nigeria.

“We shall celebrate the coming Christmas in peace and in joy, and it shall be well with Nigeria. I wish the Archbishop well in his new role,” she said.

In other news, President Bola Tinubu is currently holding a closed-door meeting with service chiefs over the ongoing wave of insecurity.

The meeting is reported to be taking place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Also in attendance are the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services, Tosin Ajayi.

As of the time of filing this report, details of the meeting are yet to be ascertained.
