Igbokwe Blasts IPOB Lawyer Over Call For Nepal Experience

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC Joe Igbokwe, has slammed counsel to the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB for “stylishly preaching Nepal experience in Nigeria”.

The Eastern Updates reports that the lawyer, in a post on his official Facebook page on Saturday, likened alleged corruption in Nepal that recently caused a deadly revolution to that of Nigeria.

The lawyer, however, lamented that while the Nepalese youths paid the price to sack bad leaders, their Nigerian counterparts feel subdued.

The post, however, didn’t go well with Igbokwe, who took to his Facebook page to lambast the lawyer, linking him to the unrest in the South East.

He wrote, “The IPOB, UGM, ESN etc, Lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor is not done yet. Their bloody groups have left unimaginable wreckage, massive destruction and thousands of deaths in the South East.

“Having failed woefully in 10 years bloodshed and massive destruction of homes including mine, this yeye lawyer is now stylishly and dangerously preaching Nepal experience in Nigeria.

“I have just read his write up a few minutes ago. Let us be guided. Let us thread carefully, let us have common sense even though common sense is not common”.

Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has vowed not to retract a controversial statement he made against President Bola Tinubu.

The Eastern Updates reports that Sowore, while reacting to a comment made by the President during his state visit to Brazil, described the Nigerian leader as a “criminal”.

In a viral video, the President was heard saying that since he took office, there “is no more corruption” in the currency market.

Reacting, Sowore wrote on his X handle: “this criminal @officialABAT actually went to Brazil to state that there is NO MORE corruption under his regime in Nigeria. What audacity to lie shamelessly!”
