President Bola Tinubu has conferred national honours of Officer of the Order of the Niger on the Super Falcons following their victory at WAFCON.
He also announced the award of the Naira equivalent of $100,000 to each to the 24 players, $50,000 to the technical team.

Each player and official in the team will also be getting a three-bedroom apartment in the Renewed Hope Estate in the Federal Capital Territory.
The Super Falcons won Nigeria’s 10th WAFCON title on Saturday in Morocco.
The team came from two goals down to defeat the host country 3-2 in the final at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.
Esther Okoronkwo, Folashade Ijamilusi and Jennifer Echegini were the goal scorers for the Falcons in the dramatic triumph.
While receiving the team at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday, Tinubu honoured every member of the WAFCON-winning squad with the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) award.
The president then praised the team’s resilience, sportsmanship and can-do attitude.
The Nigeria Governors Forum also pledged a separate reward of N10 million for each of the players.
Nigeria claimed a tenth title as they beat host-nation Morocco 3-2 in the final of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The match was played at Olympic Stadium in Rabat, Morocco, where the home side had claimed a two-goal lead at half-time.
Trailing 2-0 at half-time in front of a partisan Moroccan crowd, the Super Falcons showed their pedigree and resilience, clawing their way back into the match with a display of clinical finishing and sheer determination to cement their status as queens of African football.
