Former Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Garba Shehu, has dismissed claims that cabals had hijacked the immediate past administration.
Shehu disclosed that the claims of a cabal in Buhari’s past administration were sheer nonsense.
During Buhari’s administration, reports had it that a group of cabals were the decision-makers and not the former president.
Dismissing this claim, Shehu said Buhari had a mind of his own, adding that nobody could order him around.
He disclosed this while featuring on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday.
According to Shehu: “This thing about cabal is sheer nonsense. Buhari is a military general, even when he converted to a democrat.
“He was used to giving orders and not taking them from anybody. I have not known one person who will give you 100 percent assurance that when I tell Buhari A, B, C is black, he will say A, B, C is black.
“He had his own mind. You can have anybody around you, people will come and advise you, but the buck stops on his table. I tell you that nobody can guarantee it.”
In other news, A former Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello, has distanced himself from APC National Chairmanship campaign posters recently seen across the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
In a statement on Thursday by its Director, Michael Ohiare, the Yahaya Bello Media Office in Lokoja dismissed the posters as the work of mischief makers.
Ohiare expressed surprise at reports suggesting the APC chairmanship campaign posters of the immediate past Kogi governor had flooded parts of Abuja.
