The White House will once again welcome visitors as public tours are set to resume on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, according to First Lady Melania Trump. The announcement signals a return to normalcy for the historic residence, which has long been a symbol of American democracy and heritage.
First Lady Melania Trump, in a statement released by the White House on Wednesday, voiced her excitement about reopening the residence to the public. She emphasized that the tours would provide an enriching experience, allowing visitors to engage with the history of the American presidency, the personal stories of past First Families, and the broader heritage of the nation.
Highlighting its historical and political importance, Melania Trump described the White House as a distinctive representation of the American government—an experience unlike anything found in other countries.
“The President and I are excited to reopen the White House to those interested in the extraordinary story of this iconic and beautiful landmark.

“There is much to learn about the American presidency, the First Families who have lived here, and our nation’s rich history from a firsthand experience at the White House.
“This opportunity is unique among nations around the globe—a tradition we are honoured to continue for the hundreds of thousands of visitors who come each year,” said the First Lady.
According to the statement, public tours will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, as well as on Fridays and Saturdays, excluding federal holidays.
The tours, which are self-guided and typically last 45 minutes, must be requested through Members of Congress, and requests can be submitted up to three months in advance. Tours will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
