PGMOL, the body responsible for managing officiating standards in the Premier League, has announced David Coote’s suspension, explaining that an extensive investigation is now in motion. The organization has declined to offer further remarks until the investigative process wraps up.

Adding to the controversy, the clip includes a voice allegedly belonging to David Coote, recalling specific moments with Klopp, particularly during a Burnley game played in the lockdown period, which has sparked further questions regarding the referee’s interactions with the former Liverpool manager.

He describes Klopp as “arrogant” and explains his preference to avoid conversation with him, though he expresses a favorable opinion of Liverpool player James Milner.

Coote officiated Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday, November 9, but the video appears to have been recorded earlier. This incident has raised significant concerns over impartiality and professionalism, leading to the referee’s suspension while PGMOL completes its review.
