At least six fatalities were recorded following a suspected assault in Tel Aviv, Israel’s economic heart, on Tuesday, according to police. They also stated that the two assailants involved in the incident had been “neutralized.”
Describing the incident as a combined shooting and stabbing attack, law enforcement noted that it occurred just prior to Iran’s missile strike involving around 180 projectiles targeting the Tel Aviv area.
“Six civilians were killed in a stabbing and shooting terror attack and nine civilians were injured with varying degrees of injury according to medical sources,” police said in a statement.
