EPL: Arteta Opens Up On Arsenal’s Failure To Beat Man City

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has revealed why his team failed to beat their Manchester City rivals in the Premier League cracker match which was played on Sunday.

Arteta had watched as his team came from a goal down to lead 2-1 at halftime.

Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel Magalhães scored the goals for the Gunners after Erling Haaland’s early strike.

Arsenal were then reduced to 10 men after Leandro Trossard’s red card.

But a late stoppage time goal from John Stones ensured both teams played 2-2 at Etihad.

Speaking at his post-match interview, Arteta admitted that his team had a very difficult start against the host.

He added that Arsenal struggled to control certain spaces and didn’t have enough ability against Pep Guardiola’s side.

“We had a very difficult start. We struggled to control certain spaces; we didn’t have enough ability. We adapted to that context in the best possible way,” Arteta said.

“I’m so proud of them. You cannot be given a more difficult situation against that opponent and I’m so proud of my team.”

In another news, Anthony Joshua‘s quest for redemption was dealt a severe blow at Wembley Stadium, where Daniel Dubois scored a spectacular knockout victory. The loss significantly dims Joshua’s prospects of recapturing the heavyweight title, raising questions about his ability to reclaim past glory.

From the outset, IBF heavyweight titleholder Daniel Dubois asserted his dominance, dropping Anthony Joshua twice before unleashing a crushing right-hand blow in the fifth round that sent the former champion tumbling to the canvas.

Joshua’s valiant attempt to continue proved futile, as the referee swiftly halted the contest, cementing Dubois’s impressive triumph.

The loss to Daniel Dubois signifies a pivotal setback for Anthony Joshua, as he suffers his second career knockout. This defeat throws into doubt Joshua’s bid to join the exclusive group of boxers who have captured a world title three times, leaving his future prospects uncertain and his resolve tested.
